St Francis Youth and Community Centre (the Centre) stands in the heart of the Bournville Community. The Centre is a registered charity and a private company limited by guarantee. For over 40 years it has been running activities for the benefit of the local community, with a particular focus on youth and the elderly. 

The Centre has a proactive Board of Directors who are seeking an organised, hands-on and strategically minded Centre Manager to be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the Centre. This includes day to day operational and building management, administration, staff management and supervision, developing activities and income generation and delivering excellent customer service. 

The Centre runs K@Boom, a before-and-after-school Club and Holiday Club. Various community organisations rent space at the centre including Hopscotch Preschool during term time and the Rita Cashmore School of Dance. There are also weekly youth clubs, including the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and a weekly lunch club for over 55s to come to socialise and enjoy a hot meal together. A range of classes and courses also take place throughout the week including Art Appreciation, Yoga and Creative Writing. 

This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to the local community. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, interpersonal and management skills, be a good planner and communicator and have a genuine passion for improving the wellbeing of the people who live and work in the Bournville area

£10.50-£13 per hour, dependent on experience
25 to 30 hours per week (80%), Flexibly Monday – Friday (with occasional evening and weekend work)
